Daniel's Lions Den: Inner Deliverance
Daniel 6:16-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel is cast into the lions' den; the king acknowledges his God will deliver him, and Daniel survives because of his innocence and unwavering faith in God.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Neville mode, the lions are not beasts but the clustered vibrations of fear that press upon a man’s attention. Daniel’s true field is not the den but the consciousness in which he dwells. He does not bargain with the king or plead for mercy; he affirms a state of being—God is present as I AM, the continual shepherd of every moment. The stone and signet represent external beliefs that seal the scene against change, yet they cannot alter the inner premise where innocence and alignment with divine awareness prevail. When Daniel says he has done no hurt before God and king, he announces the effortless lock of the den by a higher power—the inner angel that shuts the lions’ mouths. This is deliverance as a natural adjustment of consciousness, not a rescue from without. If you remain in that inner truth, you will discover that fear dissolves, and the safety of God’s presence becomes your immediate experience, independent of appearances.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, rest in the I AM within, and declare, 'My God is deliverer now.' Visualize the den sealed and the lions harmless, then feel the relief of being safely held by divine consciousness.
