Daniel's Lions: Inner Deliverance
Daniel 6:14-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel is cast into the lions' den by a king's decree. He is delivered because he remains innocent and faithful to his God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Enter the den in your imagination as a state of consciousness, not a place. The king and his decree are your outward circumstances, pressing you to yield to fear; yet Daniel stands for your I AM, the constant, unshaken awareness that serves continually. When the law confirms that nothing may be changed, that moment becomes your invitation to prove what you are awake to: that you are not governed by passing decree but by the timeless consciousness that you are. The moment the stone is sealed, it is as if your belief is tested; but your fidelity to God — to what you know yourself to be in truth — sends forth angelic assistance, and the mouths of the lions close. Notice that deliverance comes because innocency is found in you in the highest sense: you have harmed no one in your heart, you have kept faith with the divine within. The king's joy is your own recognition that your faith has not failed. You do not fight the lions; you refuse to surrender your inner king. This is the practical demonstration: your inner conviction protects you and your world.
Practice This Now
Assume now that you are delivered; feel the relief as the stone is removed and the den empties of fear. Stay in that feeling of wholeness until it becomes your reality.
