Temple Vessels, Inner Kings
Daniel 5:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Belshazzar's feast shows a profane use of sacred vessels as he and his circle drink and praise earthly idols. It mirrors how the inner self can surrender to appearances and pride rather than the I AM within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Belshazzar's feast is your inner drama. The gold and silver vessels are states of consciousness you have set above the living I AM. When you drink the wine of pride you honor outer idols, the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, and stone. The princes and concubines are your many identifications, your belief in separation from God within. The warning is not history but your spiritual weather: you are nourishing a false self by worshiping symbols. The cure is to turn inward, to claim the throne of consciousness where you reign as the I AM. Reclaim the temple by revision and by feeling it real that the inner reality is untouched by time. See that vessels retain sacred meaning when the mind knows itself as God. If you, the reader, assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled and the sense that you reign in the inner temple, outward signs lose their command over you. Pride dissolves when you know you are the living God within. Then the inner banquet becomes a sacrament of unity rather than a display of power.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, place a hand on your chest, and declare, I AM the king of this inner temple. Feel the sense of reign expand until the outer symbols fade and the inner reality shines.
