Inner Kingdom of Power
Daniel 5:18-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage states that the Most High gave Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, majesty, glory, and honour, and that people trembled before him because of the power granted. It suggests that outward kingship reflects an inner state of influence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Daniel 5:18-19, the king’s outward throne mirrors an inner claim. The Most High God who granted Nebuchadnezzar a realm is the I AM you are aware of—the conscious act of imagining. The majesty, glory, and honour you perceive in the world emerge from the conviction you hold in imagination. When the text speaks of slaying or sparing, setting up or putting down, hear it as the movements of your inner will as you revise your assumptions. Providence operates as the natural response of your own awareness when it is fully assured of its sovereignty. If you dwell in the awareness that you are the I AM, you invite conditions to manifest consistent with that inner state. The kingdom of God becomes an ongoing, intimate administration of life by your inner decision, not a distant event. Practice turning your attention to the feeling of majesty within, and let that feeling govern your thoughts, words, and actions.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the state 'I am the sovereign ruler of my life now.' Dwell in that I AM presence for a few minutes, revise fear, and feel the inner authority as your conditions align with your inner decision.
