Inner Daniel: The Wise Within

Daniel 5:10-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 5 in context

Scripture Focus

10Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:
11There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;
12Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.
Daniel 5:10-12

Biblical Context

The queen points to Daniel in the realm, a man with the Spirit, light, and wisdom, who can interpret the king’s dream and dissolve doubts. This inner counselor is available to you now.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the queen's speech is your own inner call to remember the Daniel within. There is a man in your kingdom—the inner Spirit—who in the days of your inner father shone with light, understanding, and wisdom. This Daniel bears an excellent spirit, knowledge, and the ability to interpret dreams and dissolve doubts. When you invoke this inner Daniel, he becomes master of your faculties—the imagination, memory, and discernment—and he reveals the interpretation of what now presents itself in your life. The banquet hall is your outward experience; Nebuchadnezzar is the stormy mind of fear; yet the presence of God is the constant I AM that makes sense of it all. Trust this inner counsellor now, and you will see the true interpretation arise from within, not from external prognosticators. You are the I AM; you carry the wisdom to interpret and choose rightly. If you can awaken this Daniel in the moment, meaning appears and doubts dissolve.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the inner Daniel is awake in you; feel the steady light of wisdom and invite it to interpret a current concern, then revise your thoughts to align with that interpretation and feel it real.
