Biblical Context
Daniel 4:10–12 describes a great tree standing in the earth, whose height reaches heaven. Its leaves are fair, its fruit abundant, and all beings are fed by it.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the watcher within, this vision is not a historical omen but your own arc of consciousness. The tree is your state, rooted in the earth of the present moment and growing toward the height of imagination. Its height to heaven is the alignment of imagination with truth; what you inwardly envision for all becomes the outward world you meet. The leaves that are fair and the fruit that is plentiful illustrate the abundance your I AM is capable of. When you dwell on this symbol, remember that the beasts of the field and the birds of the air finding shade and shelter signify every desire, need, and circumstance finding their place under your inner provision. The entire earth is fed by the abundance you hold as fact in your heart. The key is to recognize that you are not seeking provision from without, but declaring and living from within that you are the source of supply.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling, I am the provision that nourishes all life. In imagination, see this inner tree stretching to the horizon, shading every creature and feeding all, and dwell in the certainty that it is already true now.
