Inner Times, Kings, and Wisdom
Daniel 2:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel blesses God, acknowledging that wisdom and might belong to Him, and that He changes times and seasons, removing and installing kings. The passage links divine sovereignty to the cycles of human rule.
Neville's Inner Vision
Daniel's blessing is not a mere historical note but a revelation of consciousness. It proclaims that God is the I AM within you—your constant awareness. Wisdom and might belong to that inner I AM, not to external rulers. When he says He changeth the times and the seasons, he means that your inner atmosphere—the state you inhabit—creates opportunities and governs what appears as time. A king represents a ruling idea, a fixed belief that presently governs your life; when you revise that inner king, the outer scene shifts: old kings are removed and wiser ones take their place. To give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who understand is a promise that discernment grows as you dwell in the I AM and refuse to identify with lack. Thus, through imagination and steady revision, you govern your personal epochs. The present moment becomes a throne from which you rule, and your world will reflect the sovereignty you affirm in consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, place your hand on your chest, and affirm: 'I AM the I AM of this moment; I govern times and rulers in my inner realm.' Then revise: 'From this moment, a wiser king sits on my inner throne.'
