Inner Vision of the King Within

Daniel 2:17-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 2 in context

Scripture Focus

17Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
18That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
20Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
23I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
Daniel 2:17-23

Biblical Context

Daniel seeks mercy from the God of heaven for a hidden matter; the secret is revealed to Daniel, who blesses God and acknowledges that wisdom and power come from the divine, who governs times, seasons, and rulers.

Neville's Inner Vision

Daniel's petition is the inner act by which a state of consciousness is shifted. He and his companions ascend in imagination to the God of heaven, not to Babylon's sages; the secret becomes a revelation of what your own awareness already knows. The night vision is the turning of the mind toward the I AM, the awareness that holds wisdom and might. When he proclaims that wisdom and might are God’s, he is naming your own divine capacity as the I AM acting in you. As he blesses, you bless the source of your understanding, the inner light that changes times and seasons by shifting your inner state rather than waiting for external weather. The phrase about revealing the deep and secret things becomes your practice: you trust that your now-quiet mind discloses the hidden solution. The king's matter is made known to you as you align with your divine mind, and you awaken to a sense of gratitude that this awareness has always been within you.

Practice This Now

Tonight, assume you are the I AM in action: declare 'I am the wisdom and might of God; the king's matter is now revealed to me.' Feel the solution as present and jot the first practical step that arises.
