Inner Tidings, Inner Resolve

Daniel 11:44 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 11 in context

Scripture Focus

44But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
Daniel 11:44

Biblical Context

Tidings from the east and north unsettle a state of mind within, prompting a fierce impulse to destroy what is feared.

Neville's Inner Vision

Daniel 11:44 narrates tidings from the east and north that trouble 'him.' In the inner sense, 'him' is a state of consciousness that clings to a fixed order. The tidings are thoughts, beliefs, and accusations that arise from the outer world and loom as threats to the ego. Yet the inner theatre is silent and beneath change. The east and north symbolize awakening and the higher mind presenting a different alignment. They disturb only the dream of separation until you claim the I AM—the unchanging awareness—as your true identity. When you feel the surge of fury, do not fight outwardly; revise your inner posture: I AM not moved by fear, I am the calm center that orders all impressions. I let the new idea dissolve the old illusion, and I allow transformation rather than destruction to take place. So 'many' are not slain, but refined into wholeness by the steady, imaginative embrace of the divine I AM.

Practice This Now

When tidings arise, assume the feeling of the I AM as the constant watcher; revise the scene by declaring, 'I AM unshaken; this impression dissolves into light,' and feel the peace seed within.
