Inner Conquest at End Time

Daniel 11:40-43 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Daniel 11 in context

Scripture Focus

40And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
Daniel 11:40-43

Biblical Context

Daniel 11:40-43 describes a climatic clash where forces from the south and north invade many lands, including the glorious land, with wealth and possessions being seized; some regions escape and the invasion progresses to Egypt and beyond.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the Neville lens, the 'time of the end' is not a calendar event but the moment your attention becomes aware of competing inner powers. The south-king presses at you, a projecting impulse you mistake for yourself; the north-king comes like a whirlwind—thoughts, appetites, plans racing with ships and chariots—sweeping across the inner territories. The glorious land represents your living imagination where possibility dwells; when the storm moves, many countries are overthrown in your mind, yet Edom, Moab, and Ammon—parts of you still safe, still connected to simple trust—escape his hand. He also reaches into Egypt, touching your outer treasures and possessions, while Libyans and Ethiopians trail in his wake as muted fears and old desires. The striking point is that these invasions reveal the sovereignty of the I AM within you: awareness that does not bow to the turmoil of shifting circumstances. When you claim that you are the I AM, you do not fight the wind; you silently claim the throne of your inner kingdom and let the storm pass, knowing your reality bends to your awareness, not to the commotion outside.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Inhale and declare, 'I am the I AM, sovereign over all inner movements.' Then revise with the feeling that you already govern your inner kingdom; rest in the still throne of awareness for a minute to feel it real.
