Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel 11:39 portrays a ruler using a strange god to fortify inner strongholds, magnify its glory, and divide the inner land for gain.
Neville's Inner Vision
Daniel 11:39 presents the moment when a strange god sits upon the throne of the mind. The strongholds are not stone towers but fixed states of consciousness, and the strange god is any image of authority you have accepted as real within you. When you acknowledge it and seed it with glory, it comes to rule over many thoughts, feelings, and deeds, dividing your inner land for gain. But you, as the observer, are the I AM. The cure is to withdraw belief from the idol and replant the crown on your true king. Assume the feeling that the I AM is governing every room of your mind; revise every dominant thought to reflect this unity; and feel it real until the sense of separation dissolves. Practically, you can close your eyes, identify the idol you have been nourishing, and declare, in imagination, that the I AM is enthroned. With that assumption, your inner kingdom reorders itself and the external scene aligns to reflect your genuine worship.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, name the idol in the mind, then assume the I AM seated on the throne of awareness and feel its reign as your lived reality.
