Sanctuary of Inner Strength
Daniel 11:31-35 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage portrays an assault on the inner sanctuary by external forces, yet those who know their God stay strong and teach others; many are tested and purified until the appointed end time.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Daniel's vision the outer powers are not merely external; they are states of consciousness attempting to desolate your inner altar. The 'daily sacrifice' is your continuous act of imagining from the I AM, keeping the mind’s altar lit. When the 'abomination' of fear arises, you do not fight it with effort alone, but reaffirm the unity of your being with the Self that never weakens. Those who know their God—who know the I AM—stand firm and perform exploits not to dominate others, but to awaken power within and guide others inwardly. Flattery from the ego seeks to lure you from the covenant; ignore it by dwelling in the certainty of your divine Presence. Those who understand instruct many, yet the trials—sword, flame, captivity, and spoil—purify the heart. A little help appears as Spirit’s first support, and the process continues until the time of the end, when consciousness is whitened and renewed.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM is your present reality; revise doubt by declaring I AM, and feel it real for a minute while you visualize a radiant sanctuary within.
