Beloved Daniel: Stand Upright
Daniel 10:11-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel is told he is beloved, to stand upright, and to understand the words spoken; because he sought understanding and disciplined himself before God, his request was heard and the messenger came.
Neville's Inner Vision
Daniel stands as a stand-in for your awakened consciousness, beloved by the I AM. The words 'a man greatly beloved' announce that your true self, the I AM within, is already aware of your sincere seeking. 'Stand upright' is a decision of the mind to hold steady in truth while the pull of fear and habit swirls around you. 'From the first day... thy words were heard' means that the moment you bring a fixed purpose to understand and to chasten yourself before God, the answer is felt in your inner life. The 'prince of the kingdom of Persia' represents the resistance of old thoughts; yet Michael's arrival signals your higher will breaking through those patterns. Now is shown that the vision is for many days, but the inner pattern of growth is already active in your present awareness. The whole scene is a reminder that your imagination is the bridge between desire and manifestation, and that your 'I AM' is the breath by which all movement is sustained.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare: 'I am beloved; I stand upright; my words are heard.' Then feel that truth as if it is already real, letting it dissolve any resistance within.
