Biblical Context
Paul lists his fellow workers and prayers, urging the church to know their estate and welcome one another. He calls them to stand complete in the will of God, under grace.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this passage the names are not people separated from you; they are parts of your own consciousness—Tychicus, Onesimus, Aristarchus, Epaphras, Luke, Demas—each a faculty and disposition in your mind that serves the one idea you are conscious of: the Kingdom of God in you. When Paul says, 'these only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God,' he is teaching you that your own inner collaboration is with your I AM, and your heart's comfort is produced by your own alignment. Epaphras' fervent prayers for you to stand perfect in the will of God is your own habitual image in which you persist in the feeling of rightness, wholeness, and completion. The idea of grace—'Grace be with you'—is your awareness of the unearned favor that flows when you accept your true state. The letters and the reading of epistles are acts of inner correspondence: you communicating with your own soul and with the divine, confirming unity. Let your ministry, like Archippus' charge, be the clear acknowledgment and fulfillment of your calling in the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the role of Tychicus delivering your true state to your inner church. Feel the comfort and grace rise as you revise any sense of lack, knowing your ministry is being fulfilled now.
