Read Colossians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

4That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
Colossians 4:4

Biblical Context

Colossians 4:4 expresses the aim to manifest the message and to speak it properly. It points to inner preparation as the ground for outer expression.

Neville's Inner Vision

Colossians 4:4 invites us to see the spoken word as the outward echo of an inward truth. The 'I may make it manifest' is not a plea but a declaration of the state of awareness I occupy. In every moment, I, the I AM, choose a state in which the mystery already stands disclosed, and from that state my voice becomes its vehicle. The Mystery is not a distant event but a present impression—an inner alignment that precedes and animates speech. When I assume the end, when I feel the end as real now, the words I utter carry the authority of truth, not by force but by fidelity to the inner conviction. Truth and faithfulness are maintained by consistent imaginative practice; discernment arises as I judge not by outward appearances but by the consistency of my inner state with the message I would deliver. In this way I manifest the hidden reality, I live the promise, and my speech becomes a natural articulation of the One I am within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the end you desire — that your message has already been spoken perfectly. Feel the relief, certainty, and natural ease of delivery, then repeat, 'I manifest my word now.'
