Inner Wrath and Alignment
Colossians 3:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse asserts that certain deeds provoke the wrath of God upon those who are disobedient; in plain terms, living out of alignment with divine order invites inner consequence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Wrath, in Neville’s understanding, is not a thunderbolt from a distant God but the felt consequence of choosing a state of disobedience to your true being. The 'children of disobedience' are those who forget that I AM stands within, who operate from fear, lack, or old habit rather than from the conscious awareness of God as their life. When you act from that lower state, the inner atmosphere hardens; you feel strain, resistance, and a kind of judgment you interpret as wrath. But this is an effect of your own assumed state. The remedy is to shift your assumption: dwell in the I AM, where obedience to the higher law is automatic. Begin to imagine, feel, and live as one aligned with divine order—see yourself responding to events with calm certainty, not from the ego’s disobedient patterns. In that revised inner posture, the inner weather clears; the sense of wrath is replaced by peace, clarity, and intelligent direction. You are not condemned; you are being reminded to return to the I AM you truly are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your present reality, repeating, 'I AM the I AM; I obey the higher law within me.' Then visualize a simple moment today where you act from inner guidance, and let the imagined alignment dissolve any felt wrath.
