Hidden Christ Life Within

Colossians 3:3-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Colossians 3 in context

Scripture Focus

3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:3-4

Biblical Context

Your real life is not the ego you know; it is hidden with Christ in God. When your inner Christ-life is revealed, you too will appear with him in glory.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, Colossians declares a condition of your being: you are dead to the old man, and your life is bound up with the Christ that dwells in God. This is not a future rescue but a present occupancy of consciousness. The Christ who is your life is not an external person you must wait for; He is the inner state by which you live, move, and have your being. When you behold the man within—the I AM that never left you—the outer world will respond as glory because the inner state is now the outer story. The appearing in glory is simply the shift of your sense of self from ego to your divine state. Your true shadow is the one you imagine into being; your real light is the consciousness that already is. Trust that you are already in him, and he in you. The senses will catch up as you maintain the inner confidence that your life is hid with God in Christ.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the Christ-life is your present life, and feel the I AM dwelling as you. Rest in that awareness until it feels real in every thought.
