Colossians 3:14

Biblical Context

Colossians 3:14 invites us to clothe ourselves in charity, the unifying power that perfects our inner life. It makes every action and relationship whole.

Neville's Inner Vision

Charity, in this verse, is not a sentiment to display but a state of consciousness to inhabit. In Neville's terms, you are asked to 'put on' charity as you would a garment worn from the I AM, until your awareness itself radiates with love. When you believe that you and another are one in I AM, the bond of perfectness forms within you as harmony rather than friction. The world outside mirrors the inner assumption: forgiveness springs naturally, mercy softens judgments, and grace becomes your habitual energy. Do not seek charity as a deed separate from you; assume you are charity itself, and the feeling will rearrange your perception, choices, and responses. Begin by quietly affirming: I am love; I am united with all through the I AM that I am. Hold that feeling, gently revise any grievance, and watch as the perceived distance dissolves. The verse declares supremacy of this inner state; the outer events then align to reflect your inner unity.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of universal love toward someone you’ve judged; revise the memory to see them as already forgiven and whole; dwell in the I AM that unites you.
