Dwelling the Godhead Within
Colossians 2:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Colossians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Colossians 2:9 declares that all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in him bodily. This points to a unity between divine totality and the embodied consciousness you now possess.
Neville's Inner Vision
Do not seek God outside of you. The term 'him' in the verse is your own I AM, the living awareness that defines who you are. The fullness of the Godhead is not a distant person or a place; it is the very state of your present consciousness, dwelling in and as you. When you accept that this divine life is already occupying your vessel, you step from lack into abundance, from separation into intimate union. Bodily signifies the tangible life you live—your thoughts, feelings, and deeds—as the arena in which Godhead expresses itself. The truth is simple: consciousness is the vessel; Godhead is the content; and the moment you align with that content, your form takes on its divine quality. Your fidelity to this inner fact—steadfastly implying, not hoping—reorients every experience. Do not beg for fullness; acknowledge it now and let your imagination act from that cause. Rehearse being the dwelling place of fullness, and observe the world bending to the law of that inner state. The presence of God becomes a present-tense fact within you, accessible to the I AM who simply assumes it.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and affirm, 'I am the dwelling place of the fullness of Godhead bodily.' Feel the divine life fill your chest and move through your hands as you act.
