Biblical Context
Colossians 2:23 exposes outward displays—will-worship, humility, and body neglect—as mere appearances; true worship is an inner state, not external ritual.
Neville's Inner Vision
That which Colossians calls will-worship and the air of humility is the mind trying to manage life by outward rules. In this light, such displays reveal a hidden fear of fullness, not true devotion. The body is not the enemy to starve or to dominate; it is the visible garment of your inner state. When you perceive that these things have a show of wisdom, hear the invitation to look inward: the only real discipline is alignment with the I AM, the awareness that you are God in you and through you. The inner man does not demand proof by ritual but rests in the stillness where intention and imagination fuse. The idea of satisfying the flesh is the illusion that external deprivation or clever acts will satisfy your true nature. Instead, assume the state of fullness now; feel yourself already whole, present, and governed by the inner light. When your inner atmosphere shifts, outer forms follow, and the so-called wisdom becomes radiant clarity of your own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the sense of self: I AM the fullness of God now, not by willful ritual but by inner awareness. Feel it real for a minute, then carry that inner state into your day.
