Biblical Context
Colossians 2:15 presents Christ’s conquest over spiritual powers, disarming them. It frames the victory as an inner triumph within consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the 'principalities and powers' not as distant rulers but as stubborn habits of thought, fears, and old identities that haunt your inner life. When Paul says he spoiled them and triumphed openly, Neville would say: Christ's victory is your awareness becoming aware of its own power, the I AM that cannot be frightened or manipulated by a memory or a fear. The cross is not a past event but a turning of your attention toward your divine state. In this moment of recognition, the powers lose their sting; they are paraded—exposed as nothing in the clear light of God within you. To witness this is to awaken to a permanent shift: you are the consciousness that commands, not the slave to memory. Your imagination becomes the arena where these powers are publicly shown to be powerless, and you walk as the victor in the very act of imagining. So, the external world will reflect, not the tyranny of your thoughts, but the triumph already present in your inner state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and affirm, 'I am triumph over all inner powers.' Remain in that feeling until it feels true, then revise any fear by declaring it powerless in my awareness.
