Biblical Context
Paul teaches that true circumcision is spiritual, cutting off the old self. You are buried with Christ in baptism, raised with Him through faith, and forgiven all trespasses.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Colossians 2:11-13, the language speaks not to outward rites but to the awakening of your inner state. The circumcision made without hands is the painless separation from the old, imagined self—the 'body of the sins of the flesh' dissolved by the revelation that you are the I AM, its memory no longer ruling your life. The baptism is not a bathtub but a holy acknowledgment that you are already in union with Christ in God’s operation; you are buried in belief that you are separate, then you are risen as that same God-life asserts itself as your present consciousness. The phrase 'forgiven you all trespasses' is not pardon for acts so much as the end of identification with wrongdoing; each trespass dissolves when you accept your true nature as quickened with Him. As you dwell in this understanding, you do not strive to become holy—you realize you are holy by virtue of your union with the divine. Practice: assume you are already the risen life now; feel the emptiness of the old you dissolve as the new you awakens.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM is your present state now; revise a memory of separation until you feel you are already risen and forgiven.
