Colossians 1:3-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul gives thanks to God for the Colossians and prays for them. He notes their faith in Christ Jesus, their love for all the saints, and the hope laid up in heaven that the gospel is producing in them from the moment they heard.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville Goddard, these lines reveal that God is not distant but the I AM within you. The thanks and prayers are your inward alignment with the truth of your being, the stance that calls forth the fruit of the gospel as you live. Faith in Christ Jesus is your trust in the indwelling Christ-consciousness; love for all the saints is the radiance of that consciousness toward every neighbor; the hope laid up in heaven is the future-tense quality of mind that knows its eternal possessions. The word of truth of the gospel is the inner law you hear and repeat until it becomes your living atmosphere; the gospel coming to you everywhere and bearing fruit in you means your inner conviction expands into outer experience. Since the day you heard of it and knew the grace of God in truth, your life is a field in which grace does its work. Your present circumstances are reflections of your inner state, and you can revise them by returning to the awareness of grace now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are living in the state of gratitude, faith, and love described in Colossians 1:3-6. Feel the grace of God as your own reality now, and rest in that awareness until it furnishes your next moment.
