Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
This passage names how we preach, warn, and teach with wisdom, so that every person may be presented perfect in Christ Jesus. The speaker labors by the power that works within him.
Neville's Inner Vision
I tell you that Colossians 1:28-29 is the language of your own consciousness. 'Whom we preach' is the I AM preaching to itself; 'warning every man' is the gentle correction of thoughts that stray from the divine state; 'teaching every man in all wisdom' is the inner instruction that reveals your oneness with the Christ. The aim 'to present every man perfect in Christ Jesus' is the inner realization that you are already complete in your true nature, and any appearance to the contrary is only a mis-seen image of awareness. 'Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily' shows that effort is not personal will but the power of God moving within you. When you assume the state that you are that perfect image, you permit the inner power to act through your thoughts, feelings, and choices, transforming appearances to reflect your consciousness. Your preaching becomes the living of that reality here and now, not in future time but in the present embodiment of Christ within you.
Practice This Now
Five minutes tonight, assume the state: I am perfected in Christ Jesus, and feel the inner power working mightily within me. Then revise any sense of lack by declaring, I now see myself as I truly am in Christ, and let that assurance linger.
