Colossians 1:16

Biblical Context

Colossians 1:16 declares that all things in heaven and earth, visible and invisible, were created by Christ and exist for his purpose.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the inner vision, Colossians 1:16 whispers that all life—heavenly and earthly, visible and invisible, even the thrones and powers—are the handiwork of the I AM you truly are. The 'Christ' of Paul is not a distant personality but your own unconditioned awareness that creates by simply being. Therefore, 'by him' means every experience, every relationship, every condition arises from your current inner state and is existing for the purpose of that state to express itself. When you acknowledge that all things were created by and for the I AM, you release the sense of separation and recognize that your world is a dream shaped by your perception. Your job is not to plead for better outcomes but to align your inner feeling with the truth: I am the creator; this is my world imagined into form. When you revise a fear, you are revising a throne; when you accept harmony, you advance a dominion. The present is the womb of creation; revive the state and watch the outer become its echo.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat, 'I am the I AM; all things are created by me and for me.' Then revise any troubled circumstance by feeling it as the fulfilled state, until your inner sense of wholeness radiates outward.
