The Inner Kingdom Manifesto

Amos 9:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Amos 9 in context

Scripture Focus

5And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
6It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.
Amos 9:5-6

Biblical Context

The passage declares the Lord’s supreme sovereignty over land, sea, and the heavens; He moves the elements as a deliberate act within creation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the state called I AM, Amos reveals a sovereign governor who can melt the stubborn land of circumstance by a single act of will. The land you think is solid dissolves when you acknowledge a new inner ruling power. The heavens are not distant; they are the stories you build in imagination, and the troop you found in your earth is the idea that commands your conditions. When you call for the waters of the sea, you awaken flood-tides of feeling and energy, and you pour them out into your world, reorganizing every surface and event. The LORD is his name — your own I AM, the living dominion behind all you perceive. Thus the kingdom of God is not a distant rule but the present state you entertain, the inner movement that makes rivers run and lands respond. Practice settling into the feeling that you are the creator of your environment, and your outer world will follow.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, rest a hand on your heart, and repeat, 'I AM the Lord of this land,' letting the feeling of authority rise. Then revise a current condition by imagining it already changed, and dwell in that feeling until it becomes your waking life.
