Inner Tabernacle Restored Now

Amos 9:11-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Amos 9 in context

Scripture Focus

11In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
12That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
13Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
Amos 9:11-15

Biblical Context

Amos 9:11-15 speaks of God rebuilding what is fallen and restoring the exiles, promising an abundant return. It presents restoration as both a future hope and a present inner act of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the text, the nation’s future restoration is presented as a present shift in consciousness. The 'tabernacle of David' is your own center of I AM awareness, a structure once fallen, now revived by the will to claim your birthright of wholeness. When the breaches are closed and ruins rise as in old days, that is the mind reconstructing its house, not in history but in your inner theatre. The 'remnant of Edom' and 'the heathen' are the last vestiges of limitation—anger, doubt, fear—called by my name, now invited to align with the divine order. The imagery of plowman overtaking reaper and mountains dissolving into wine speaks of an inner harvest so abundant that time and matter bend to it. Your captivity and exile are the language of belief; when you refuse them and plant gardens in your mind, you drink the wine of realized supply. The promise of land, never to be uprooted, is your assurance that your inner state, once established, remains your reality.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the feeling of the restored tabernacle. Say, 'I am the I AM; this inner sanctuary is rebuilt; I have all I need,' and dwell in that conviction for several minutes until abundance and security remain in your awareness.
