Amos 9:11

Biblical Context

Amos 9:11 speaks of God restoring the fallen tabernacle of David, closing the breaches, and rebuilding it as in the days of old; this signals the inner restoration of your kingly consciousness and presence of God within.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner sense the tabernacle of David is your kingly consciousness, the seat of authority that governs every activity of life. The fallen tabernacle represents states of lack, doubt, and separation from the I AM. When the prophecy says in that day I will raise up the tabernacle and close up the breaches, it tells you that the moment you turn inward and assert the reality of your inner sovereignty, you close the breaches—the gaps between wish and experience—by the steady assumption. I will raise up his ruins means you allow old disappointments and conflicting beliefs to be transfigured by the steady cultivation of the desired state. As in the days of old invites you to recover the original unity with God, the certainty that your inner kingdom is eternal. Your imagination is the organized power that forms inner material into outer form. Therefore, assume the feeling of kingship now, dwell in the presence of your true self, and let outer life answer to that inner reality.

Practice This Now

Assume the state now by stating I am the ruler of my inner tabernacle; my breaches are healed and the kingdom rises within me. Sit with it for a few minutes and feel the freedom of that sovereignty.
