Biblical Context
Amos 7:16-17 frames a divine warning: speaking truth to the inner Israel carries consequences, including upheaval and exile, tied to accountability.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the inner scripture, the LORD is the I AM addressing a state of consciousness, not a distant judge. When Amos says, 'Prophesy not against Israel,' you are shown a resistance to truth in the house of Isaac—your inner dispositions that would suppress what you must become aware of. The stark image that follows—'thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided'—speaks not of history's fate but of inner consequences when you refuse alignment with your true self. In Neville’s view, judgment and accountability are corrective nudges signaling a misalignment between imagination and reality. The 'land' is your field of consciousness; captivity means you have forgotten your I AM and become captive to fear, opinion, or external circumstance. The healing is simple: awaken to the reality that you ARE the word of the LORD, a state of consciousness that cannot be diminished. Return to your inner land by choosing the truth of your divine I AM here and now, and let your imagination restore harmony to the house of Isaac.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume the feeling that you are the I AM, the sovereign author of your inner Israel. Revision: “I am the land, I am the house of Isaac, and I am restored,” and dwell there until it feels real.
