Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Amos 7:1 shows a vision of grasshoppers appearing at the start of the latter growth. The vision hints at a forthcoming judgment after the king’s mowings.
Neville's Inner Vision
Formed grasshoppers symbolize inner thought-forms arising at the inception of a new growth. The Lord GOD, as the I AM within you, is the one who forms these images. They appear at the first breath of a fresh season of life—the latter growth after a harvest of old patterns—and they announce that something new is taking root in your consciousness. Yet these grasshoppers are not enemies; they are the test of your state. The mind naturalizes threat because it has yet to settle into the reality you have decided to live. The Neville method invites you to imagine that you are the one who forms the scene: you revise the dream from lack to fullness, you feel it as present fact, and you allow the new growth to stand unthreatened by its own early prophecies. When you hold the I AM as the cause and joy of growth, the grasshoppers fade as a misperception and the latter growth proceeds in harmony with your inner decree. The vision thus becomes a spiritual cue: attend to your present assumption, and the harvest follows.
Practice This Now
Practice: Quietly assume the state of the new growth already real in your life (health, prosperity, fulfillment). Feel the I AM's active support, and revise any sense of lack into certainty.
