Read Amos 6 in context

Scripture Focus

14But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
Amos 6:14

Biblical Context

God declares that a nation will rise against Israel, afflicting them across a broad region as a form of judgment.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the inner listener, Amos 6:14 speaks not of distant armies but of states of consciousness. The 'nation' raised up against you is the identification you have given to yourself—habits, fears, and judgments—that press upon you from the entering in of Hemath to the river of the wilderness. These inner movements are not external guardians but reflections of your own belief that you are separate from God, separate from your I AM. The pressure you feel is the friction between your old self and the new consciousness you are awakening to; it reveals where you have clung to limitation, and it invites you to notice the consequences of your habitual thoughts. Yet this 'oppression' becomes a door. It invites you to revise the scene by assuming a different state of consciousness: the truth that you are the I AM, the sole actor of your experience. When you dwell in that state—feeling it in the chest, declaring it inwardly, imagining the nation dissolving into one divine presence—you experience a shift: the opposed force loses its grip and you walk freely within your own kingdom.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit quietly, breathe, and assume the state 'I AM' as your present identity. In imagination, watch the rising nation dissolve into one divine presence and feel the old pattern melt away.
