Inner Kingdom Awake: Amos 6:1
Amos 6:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Amos 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Amos 6:1 speaks of a people who rest secure in outward centers and trust in national symbols. It warns that such ease hides a vulnerable inner state.
Neville's Inner Vision
See, dear traveler, the verse does not judge cities but states of consciousness. Zion represents a favored place in your mind where you feel at ease, and the mountain of Samaria is the belief you are secure because of external powers or institutions. But God, the I AM within, is not found in monuments or reputations; He is the awareness that simply is, beneath every assuring image. When you accept ease as your normal condition, you are trusting in a mountain made from memory and social applause rather than the living Reality within. The call is to reverse the posture: to cease seeking security outside and to awaken to the sovereign presence that governs all. The kingdom is not a nation but a disposition of consciousness that feels its reality here and now. If you think, I am safe because of men and places, you are projecting a future you have not yet invited; you must align with the inner I AM and imagine from the end of security already obtained. In this way, the external system loses its grip, and the inner kingdom asserts itself as reality.
Practice This Now
Practice: Close eyes and repeat I am the I AM, the security of all I behold. Revise any sense of ease by imagining your inner kingdom as the operative reality, and feel the shift as it settles into your body.
