Inner Dawn Of Amos 5:7-9
Amos 5:7-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Amos 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage rebukes turning justice into bitterness and neglecting righteousness, inviting you to seek the source who orders the heavens. It asserts God's sovereignty and the power to strengthen the weak against the strong.
Neville's Inner Vision
Amos presents a mirror for the inner state. When you turn judgment to wormwood, you poison your own earth with unhealed habit and forget righteousness, which is simply alignment with your true I AM. Then comes the invitation: seek Him who made the seven stars and Orion—the creative force within you that names the heavens of your consciousness. To turn the shadow of death into the morning is to revise your inner weather; replace fear with the awareness that the day turning dark is but a thought in the mind that forgets its light. He who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth is your own untapped power—the act you call 'I' when you affirm, I AM. Strength does not come from overpowering others but from the inner posture that empowers the weak within you, so that the spoiled may confront the fortress of limitation. The LORD is His name—consciousness knowing itself as power. Your world becomes orderly as you align with that order here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of I AM as the power behind dawn. Revise any sense of lack by affirming, I am the creator of my sight and strength.
