Quiet Revelation Within

Amos 3:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Amos 3 in context

Scripture Focus

7Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Amos 3:7

Biblical Context

Amos 3:7 declares that God will not act without first revealing its secret to the prophets; the inner listener is the source of revelation, not external events alone.

Neville's Inner Vision

Do you not perceive that the 'Lord GOD' is not a distant ruler but the I AM that you are? In my teaching, God is your awareness, and nothing happens in your world except as your inner state concedes. The verse means the secret is always disclosed to the inner 'servants'—the states of consciousness that hear truth. The prophets are inner faculties that listen, interpret, and translate divine whispers into form. When I assume I am already the one who receives the secret, I set in motion the very movement of revelation. My imagination acts as the organ through which this revelation comes; it is not accidental prophecy but the disciplined alignment of feeling and thought with truth. The moment I refuse to argue with appearances and dwell in the certainty that I have been told what is meant for me, I become the recipient of the secret. Thus, the inner revelation becomes my outer reality: discernment, faithfulness to truth, and a life guided by a quiet, confident knowing.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of the one who receives the secret; say quietly, 'I am the I AM, and I am shown now what is mine.' Then revise one belief or action this day to reflect that inner revelation and feel it real.
