Inner Judgment and True Worship
Amos 3:12-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Amos 3:12–15 speaks of judgment that strips away outward symbols and reveals the truth of a people’s inner state. True worship, not ceremonial grandeur, arises only when the inner consciousness aligns with God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold the spoken word as your own consciousness speaking. The Lord's decree is not about distant lands, but about your inner kingdom. The shepherd’s removal of a lion's spoil images the remaining fears and old identities you still cling to; as you awaken, these fragments are drawn from the corners of your bed of thought and the image of Israel becomes clarified. The altars of Bethel and the horns that once gave them power fall to the ground because the I AM now governs from a different premise: symbols cannot fortify you; only awareness can. The winter house smites the summer house, and the houses of ivory perish, showing that external grandeur collapses when your inner sense of worth is anchored in divine presence. Judgment, in this light, is a correction of your inner state, not a punishment from above. You are being shown how to withdraw dependence on illusion and to live as the one God within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare: I AM the consciousness that settles this scene. Assume the inner state that no longer needs old altars or grand houses, and feel the horns of the altar vanish as you dwell in the I AM.
