Inner Flight and Strength

Amos 2:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Amos 2 in context

Scripture Focus

14Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:
15Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.
Amos 2:14-15

Biblical Context

The passage declares that human flight and martial prowess cannot save one from judgment; true deliverance does not come from speed or strength.

Neville's Inner Vision

Amos 2:14-15 exposes the futility of placing trust in flight, bows, horses, or any outward strength to save a life. When the swift flee, the bowman stands unused, and the rider finds no deliverance in armor, we are reminded that the outer world reflects an inner condition. Yet this is not a doom, but a doorway: you are not the mover of events but the awareness that experiences them. The I AM within you is the perpetual deliverer, unseen and constant, while external power waxes and wanes. If you imagine yourself secure in that inner life, if you dwell in the realization that you are the consciousness which accounts for every scene, your world begins to rearrange itself to match that certainty. Your sense of separation dissolves as you acknowledge that all defeat and triumph spring from consciousness. So choose the state 'I AM' as your reality now, feel its steadfast presence in every moment, and watch the appearance of protection, order, and true freedom unfold from within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Tonight, revise your sense of safety by declaring 'I AM delivers me now' and feel that truth saturate your body with calm assurance. Let the inner certainty supersede any external fear.
