Pressed Under the I AM
Amos 2:13-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Amos 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God speaks of a day when flight and strength fail to save. No external power can deliver, exposing the vulnerability of the mighty.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the Amos image, you are shown that outer force and quick flight cannot rescue you. The cart full of sheaves is your abundance and the weight of your beliefs pressed into a single moment. The day exposes that relying on swift feet, skilled archery, or horsemen is powerless to save the old consciousness. The deliverance offered is not a rescue by external powers but a turning of emphasis: you begin to inhabit the I AM, and thus the pressure becomes a form of support. When you press to escape, you demonstrate the old self; when you release and align with the I AM, what seemed like punishment becomes the very moment of awakening. The I AM behind all scenes is the power you call upon; by assuming the state of the I AM, you craft a present reality in which fear dissolves and safety is found in awareness, not in outward arms. The judgment thus becomes invitation to return to consciousness as your only true kingdom, where you walk free because you know God as your own awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In stillness, fix your attention on the I AM and revise fear by declaring, 'I am held up by the I AM; I am delivered now.' Then feel the truth of that statement as real in your chest.
