From Wilderness to Inner Land
Amos 2:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Amos 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse records deliverance from Egypt and a guided forty-year journey through the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorite.
Neville's Inner Vision
Amos 2:10 becomes a map of consciousness. Egypt is the habit you no longer allow to govern you; the forty years in the wilderness is the inner schooling by which your imagination refines belief; the land of the Amorite is the state you choose to inhabit. God, the I AM within, does not move you toward a future condition but toward the state you choose to occupy now. When you feel the old impulse returning, remember that you are being trained to hold a single elevated assumption until it merges with the sensed reality. Possession precedes appearance in the inner order: declare, inside your mind, that you are already dwelling in the land you seek, and so you are. Your loyalty to the covenant is your steady assumption, your refusal to yield to fear. The journey ends the moment your inner vision is complete, and your outward world must follow.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and assume you are already dwelling in the land you seek; feel the atmosphere of possession and repeat I AM in the present.
