Read Acts 7 in context

Scripture Focus

47But Solomon built him an house.
48Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
49Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
50Hath not my hand made all these things?
Acts 7:47-50

Biblical Context

Solomon built a temple, but the Most High does not dwell in buildings made with hands; true dwelling is inside consciousness, and all creation proceeds from God’s hand.

Neville's Inner Vision

Solomon’s temple is a symbol for outward security; the verse announces that the Most High resides not in bricks but in your awareness. Heaven is the throne of your conscious life and earth your field of experience, both formed by the state of mind you are living in. When you ask what house you will build, you are choosing the inner state you will inhabit. If you feel lack, that is the state you have assumed; if life and order seem elsewhere, you have placed your faith in a dream of separation. The I AM within you is the indwelling Presence; when you acknowledge and dwell as that I AM, you construct a temple that cannot fall, because it is the imagination becoming fact. Your world is the fruit of your inner postures, your feelings, and your revivals of belief. Rest in the awareness that you are the sovereign builder of your reality, and God’s dwelling is already within you.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare silently or aloud, 'I am the dwelling place of God now,' and feel the presence as the I AM behind every thought. Then revise one lack-based belief by affirming, 'The universe is arranged by my inner state, and today I choose abundance.'
