Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage contrasts outward temples with the truth that the Most High does not dwell in buildings made with hands; true dwelling is within consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let us read the wilderness and the temple as a map of your interior. The tabernacle of witness is not a place in time but a state of awareness you can fashion in imagination. The claim that the Most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands invites you to ask: if heaven is the throne of consciousness, where is your rest? The narrative shows an evolution from outward symbol to inward realization: Solomon's house is beautiful, yet it is only an outer shrine; the living God has no need of bricks when your I AM is the resting place. Thus the true covenant is loyalty to your inner state, to keep your attention fixed on the divine within. The Gentiles' possession becomes your own expansion: a widening of consciousness into new states, not by external rites but by interior alignment. When you realize that Hath not my hand made all these things? you sense that creation occurs within you, by your assumption and feeling. Therefore, the disciple's work is simple: refuse to look outside for the divine; sit with eyes closed, imagine the sanctuary within, and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled until it governs your day. Imagination creates your reality, for you are the I AM that sees it.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare I am the tabernacle of God within me. Build the feeling of the divine rest already present and let it govern your day.
