Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
People choose seven reliable men full of the Spirit to handle daily tasks, while the apostles devote themselves to prayer and teaching; this arrangement is approved by all and enacted through laying on of hands.
Neville's Inner Vision
Acts 6:3–6 reveals a deeper pattern in your consciousness. The seven men symbolize seven states of awareness you deliberately appoint to govern the ordinary affairs of life. 'Honest report' is a state of integrity that cannot be shaken; 'full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom' is the settled presence of Spirit plus discernment guiding every decision. When the text says, 'we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word,' it invites you to split your attention between inner communion and outward expression, so that your outer life becomes the word spoken by your inner conviction. The laying on of hands is the act of recognizing and legitimizing these states as your governing authorities. The result—the pleasing of the multitude—means that when you trust these inner officers, your outer circumstances align with your inward reality. In practice, you are not changing people, but forming a governance within your own mind that causes action to flow from the still, inner 'I AM' that you are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are appointing seven inner states—honesty, faith, wisdom, discernment, integrity, patience, love—to govern daily affairs. Then, in your imagination, lay hands on these states and declare, 'You are set over this business,' while you deepen your prayer and feel the truth you seek already realized.
