41And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
Acts 5:41

Biblical Context

With the council behind them, the apostles depart rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer for Jesus' name. The verse presents suffering as a conscious privilege, not a defeat.

Neville's Inner Vision

When they walked away from the council, they did not deny the sting of opposition; they elevated their inner identity. The 'council' is your own rational mind arguing against your dream; the 'name' is your realization of the I AM within you. To be counted worthy to suffer for his name is to set your inner law, to accept that every trial is a sign you are on the track of your true self. Rejoicing is not reaction; it is imaging, the act of assuming the inner reality that your state of consciousness is already whole and recognized by divine opinion. In Neville's terms, the outer event only confirms what your inner state has already declared. Therefore, if you can feel the inner verdict—'I am worthy to endure for the truth I am'—your world will respond by removing or transforming the appearance of shame and resistance. Remember, God is your I AM; imagination creates reality; the apostles' joy is the inner pivot from fear to faith, from separation to oneness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I am counted worthy to suffer for the truth of my I AM. Dwell there until it feels real.
