Biblical Context
The passage proclaims that God raised Jesus, exalted him as Prince and Savior to grant repentance and forgiveness of sins, and that the apostles and the Holy Spirit bear witness to these truths.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the scene not as an event out there but as a shift in your own consciousness. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus becomes, in your inner life, the awakening of your I AM—the divine spark that lifts an idea into authority. Jesus is the ideal you awaken, exalted by your right hand—the conscious choosing of attention and intention—so that this inner savior may govern your life with clarity. The clause 'to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins' translates to a turning of your heart toward truth (repentance) and a release from guilt and limitation (forgiveness) within your own mind. We are his witnesses, which tells you that you are already testifying to this truth by your steady attention and inner listening; the Holy Ghost, given to them that obey him, is the indwelling guidance that appears when you obey the inner command of your present feeling. In practice, you do not beg for it—you assume that you are the one whom God has raised up, living now as Prince and Savior in your life. Let your feeling-tone demonstrably confirm this reality, and the world you call real will follow.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume you are the Prince and Savior within—awake, guiding your life with the Holy Spirit. Revise a current limitation by affirming, 'I am forgiven now,' and feel the awakening flow through you.
