Wholeness by the Inner Name

Acts 4:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 4 in context

Scripture Focus

8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
9If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Acts 4:8-10

Biblical Context

Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, proclaims that the healing of the impotent man comes through the name of Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, so the healed man stands whole here and now.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine yourself in the role of Peter, the witness within your own psyche. The 'rulers' are your old beliefs; the 'good deed' is the deliberate revision of your state. By naming the power, the Name that is your I AM, you acknowledge that healing comes from within, not from some distant event. The crucifixion of the old self and the raising of the new self occur in your consciousness: the renewed you stands before you whole because you have chosen to identify with the living presence within. The force behind this shift is your unwavering faith in the I AM, not effort or ritual. When you hold that certainty, inner energy moves, dissolves separation, and life flows through every facet of your being. Acts becomes a parable for daily awakening: you shift from lack to the life that already resides in you as the true, resurrected self.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, repeat, 'I am the I AM, and I stand here whole now.' Visualize the inner man stepping forward in vitality, and feel your renewed state as real in this moment.
