Look On Us Inner Healing

Acts 3:4-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 3 in context

Scripture Focus

4And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Acts 3:4-8

Biblical Context

Peter and John tell the beggar to look at them; the man expects help. Peter declares that healing comes through the power of Jesus’ name, takes his hand, and the man is instantly restored to walk into the temple.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider this scene as a parable of inner awakening. The man at the gate is not merely a crippled body but a fixed state of limitation—lack, doubt, and attachment to coins. Peter’s gaze upon him represents a shift of the I AM’s attention toward a new possibility. 'Look on us' is a directive to fix your consciousness on the instrument of power within, not on outward aid. When the man gives heed, he aligns with the new movement. 'Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee' translates to: I may not provide external wealth, but I possess an inner energy—the healing consciousness, the authority of the Christ within—that I can impart to another. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk mirrors the inner recognition: rise up from a former state of inactivity into a new mode of being. The lifting of him by the right hand and the immediate strengthening symbolize how, when consciousness is raised, the body follows, and walking and praising God becomes the living proof of a changed inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Practice this now: close your eyes, fix your attention on the I AM within, and revise a limitation by declaring, 'In the name of I AM, rise up and walk.' Then imagine you taking that state by the right hand and lifting it into a renewed life of movement and praise.
