Inner Repentance and Renewal
Acts 3:19-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Acts 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage invites a turning of the mind from old separations to inner renewal, promising forgiveness as one aligns with the Lord within; the Christ within is proclaimed to bless and restore.
Neville's Inner Vision
These verses reveal repentance as a transformation of consciousness, not a secret formula of outward works. I must turn away from the belief that I am apart from God and deliberately adopt the awareness that I AM presence governs my life. Sins are merely misperceptions I outgrow as I align with the inner presence, and the times of refreshing come when I dwell in that presence. The preached Jesus Christ is the living Word within me, spoken by my higher self, and the heaven must receive this inner Christ until the times of restitution unfold as restored health, harmony, and purpose in my experience. Moses’ prophecy of a prophet within becomes my inner guide, directing every thought and choice. Those who resist this inner prophet cling to old stories; yet I am the child of the prophets and the covenant, blessed as I turn from iniquities and awaken the seed of Abraham within me, through which all life is blessed. Outer events align as the inner fact is believed.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and declare, 'I AM within me, the I AM; I am renewed now.' Feel the inner presence as real and revise any sense of separation until it rests in consciousness.
