Inner Hearing, Inner Healing

Acts 28:26-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 28 in context

Scripture Focus

26Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Acts 28:26-27

Biblical Context

The verse describes a people whose hearing and seeing are blocked by closed hearts, so true conversion and healing are withheld.

Neville's Inner Vision

To my inner hearing and seeing I realize the text is a map of my inner weather. The 'people' are the states of consciousness I have tolerated; the waxed heart is a stubborn belief, and dull ears are the habits that ignore inner guidance. Seeing and hearing are inner faculties, and perception is a movement of imagination. Before conversion, I am governed by a story that blocks healing; after I revise that story, healing occurs as a natural effect of consciousness. The healing promised is the healing of consciousness itself: a renewed perception and a return to the truth of my I AM, in which all images arise. When I act from this revised state, the outer world shifts to reflect the inner revival. This text invites me to align with the consciousness that already holds healing.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and declare: I AM the light that sees clearly now; I am healed. Remain in that state for several minutes and notice inner shifts in perception.
