Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul is told to rise, stand, and accept a divine commission to be a minister and witness of what he has seen and will see. He is sent to deliver others from darkness to light, so they may receive forgiveness and an inheritance by faith.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the scene as a present inward awakening. The appearing is not outside you but within your I AM, now addressing you as if you were Paul. Rise and stand on thy feet becomes the command to rise in awareness and to stand firm in your true identity as the witness who observes the life of your mind. The purpose to make you a minister and a witness is your decision to minister to your inner beliefs and to witness their transformation as you imagine them. Delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles is the shedding of external identities—the fears and opinions that have defined you—until you are delivered by your own steadfast I AM. You are sent to open their eyes; open the eyes of your heart to the light that is always present within. Turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, by aligning with the faith that is in me—the I AM within you. Forgiveness of sins and inheritance sanctified by faith become your lived experience as you trust this inner truth.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a moment of quiet, assume you are already the minister and witness of your inner life; feel the light opening the eyes of your heart and declare, 'I AM sent me to open my inner eyes.' Repeat until the feeling of realness stays.
