Inner Courtroom of Awareness
Acts 25:1-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Festus arrives with the governor's authority; the high priest and the Jews press to accuse Paul, seeking to kill him. Paul is kept at Caesarea as the scene unfolds, illustrating a clash of power and truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the scene is not about men named Festus or Paul, but about the mind's inner powers. Festus represents the outward jurisdictional pressure of doubt; the high priest and the Jews symbolize memory's old accusations; Paul embodies the living Truth within; Jerusalem is the broader arena of sleeping consciousness, where fear would scheme to kill what you are becoming. When Festus says Paul should be kept at Caesarea, the inner ruling principle says: guard the truth in your inner citadel until you are ready to respond with wisdom rather than drama. The invitation to 'go down with me' to accuse this man is your invitation to bring witnesses—discernment, patience, courage—into your judgment seat. There is no real wickedness in him unless you believe the separation between you and your desire. Your task is to keep the awareness (I AM) steady, let the scene unfold without giving power to fear, and rest in the authority that you are the perceiver, not a victim of events. In this light, the outer conflict becomes a signal to revise your inner scene until justice and peace prevail.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, breathe into your chest, declare 'I am the I AM' and revise the scene: the inner Paul remains safe in Caesarea while the outer accusers dissolve; feel this revision as real in your body.
