Read Acts 21 in context

Scripture Focus

13Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 21:13

Biblical Context

Paul declares he is ready to be bound, and even to die, for the name of the Lord Jesus. His response shows unwavering allegiance beyond external appearances.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider Acts 21:13 as a doorway into your own inner state. Paul’s words do not speak of a tomb of outer events, but of a fortress of awareness. The tears of others are not stains on your skin but flags fluttering at the edge of your consciousness, challenging your allegiance to your current identity. When Paul says he is ready to be bound or die for the name of Jesus, he is declaring that the I AM within him governs every scene. The 'name' is the living identification with the divine I AM, the sun behind all scenes. To be 'bound' or to 'die' is to release the old self - to surrender any counterfeit self that fears loss, rejection, or pain. The true Jerusalem is the field of awareness where this inner kingdom resides, not a city under Roman guard. Your imagination must be the instrument through which this readiness is rehearsed, for imagination is a creative act that makes present what you assume to be true. Begin by assuming you already stand free, unbound by appearances, even when tears threaten your heart. In that state, you hear the inner voice naming you as the I AM, and you move as one who cannot be moved by circumstance.

Practice This Now

Practice: close your eyes and assume the state 'I am willing to be bound to nothing but the truth of God' and feel it real. Then affirm 'I AM the I AM' until fear dissolves.
